Over the course of three days this past week, a group of hardworking volunteers moved nearly 4,000 pounds of lumber to four work sites at the Merritt Family Forest to assist with the construction of new bog bridges.
The first bog bridge has already been built, and two more will be completed shortly. We’ll also be working on a larger project at the intersection of the Blue Trail and Red Trail, involving a bridge and long ramp. This construction will start once we finish the work on the bog bridges.
As always, this work was only possible through the dedicated efforts of our volunteers, and we greatly enjoyed the experience of working with upbeat, friendly people. Your contributions greatly improve our properties and help the community enjoy the benefits of nature.
