Candlewood Hill Wildlife Management Area Clean-up

FREE and open to the public Join GOSA as we clear the trails and clean-up along Rte 184 and into Candlewood Hill. Equipment and gloves provided Parking at The Granite Group at 1425 Gold Star Hwy, Groton. Supervised youth groups welcome, but please, no young children or dogs.

CT Forest & Parks Trail HIke

FREE and open to the Public Meet at, and hike through, the Sheep Farm and onto the new 104 acre addition, then across Rte 1, through The Merritt Family Forest, and onto Beebe Pond Park, through the Moore Woodlands, finishing at Beebe Pond's parking lot on Noank Road. First Day Hike: Candlewood Hill Wildlife Management Area

FREE and Open to the Public Join GOSA volunteers on a First Day Winter hike DESCRIPTION: Difficult, 2 1/2 miles, 2+ hours See spectacular rock formations, ridges, ravines, quarries, a rare pitch pine preserve at near 300 ft elevation.
